The Top 50 players in the  Fedex Cup Standings head to Bellerive Country Club in St.Louis, Missouri for the BMW championship. This course has also hosted the 2008 BMW Championship and the 2018 PGA Championship. It is a par 70 course with a total yardage of 7,448 yards. 

Here are the Top 8 players in the field:

Scottie Scheffler| 1st in Fedex Cup Standings| +300

Scottie Scheffler picked up  the win last week at the Fedex St.Jude Championship and became the first golfer ever to win all three playoff events as Adrian mentioned in his article. It was Scottie’s first win since January of this year. The World’s Number 1 player showed why he was the best player in the world as he won the event by 8 strokes. He is also defending his BMW championship where he won at Caves Valley Golf Club. Scottie has two wins, five runner-up finishes, two 3rd place finishes, twelve top five finishes, and twelve top ten finishes. 

Rory McILRoy| 13th in Fedex Cup Standings| +1600

I am not sure how Rory has the 2nd best betting odds in the field. Rory has only played 12 events all year and his only win came at the Masters. If I was a betting man, I would stay away from him this week. Rory finished 66th last week out of 68 golfers. In his shortened season, he has one win, one runner-up finish, two top five finishes, and four top 10 finishes. 

Ludvig Aberg| 10th in Fedex Cup Standings| +1800

Aberg finished T7 last week at the St.Jude Championship. He is still searching for his first win of the season. The story of Aberg’s season has been posting high 70s on Saturday or Sunday after having a great start to a tournament. I would also stay away from betting on him this week as well. Aberg has one third place finish, five top five finishes, and eight top ten finishes. He will need to improve his putting to have a chance to win this week as he ranks 60th on TOUR in putting. 

Xander Schauffele| 11th in Fedex Cup Standings| +1800

Xander finished T7 last week at the St.Jude Championship. Xander is searching for his first win since 2025 at the Baycurrent Classic in a Fall event. The last win he had when facing the best on the PGA Tour was July 2024 when he won the Open Championship. Xander has one runner up finish, one third place finish, three top five finishes, and seven top ten finishes. For Xander to have a chance to be in the hunt this week he needs to improve his Approach to Green and Putting where he ranks 42nd on the TOUR.

Sam Burns| 6th in Fedex Cup Standings| +2000

Burns finished T3 at the St.Jude Championship. He played himself into the final pairing last week after a 62 on Saturday. But he shot a 73 on Sunday while paired with best friend Scottie Scheffler. The story of Sam Burns this season has been just not being able to close it out and secure a win. He has had great performances in majors this year and was really good last week as well. Burns has one runner-up finish, two third place finishes, four top five finishes, and six top ten finishes. Burns is one of the best putters on TOUR. He just needs to find a way to close out a win and I think he will eventually find a win. 

Cameron Young|  3rd in Fedex Cup Standings| +2000

Young finished T39 last week at the St.Jude Championship. It has been an up and down year for Young. Some weeks he has looked really strong and other weeks has had poor outings. He came up just one shot short of securing his first major championship at the Open Championship.Since The Open, he has finished T8 at the Rocket Classic, T61 at the Wyndham Championship, and then his T39 last week. Young has two wins, one runner-up finish, two third place finishes, five top five finishes, and eight top ten finishes. Young just needs to put together a good tournament across all four days to find himself in the hunt. Young also needs to improve his putting substantially, where he ranks 109th on TOUR.

Tommy Fleetwood| 8th in Fedex Cup Standings| +2000

Fleetwood finished T7 last week at the St.Jude Championship. Tommy always tends to show up come playoff time and is one of the good guys on Tour. He picked up his first win of his PGA career last season at the 2025 Tour Championship. Tommy has only 1 missed cut this year which came at the PGA championship. Fleetwood has four top five finishes and eight top ten finishes on the season. I think for Tommy to get the win he needs to improve his approach to green where he ranks 45th and putting where he ranks 68th. 

Matt Fitzpatrick| 2nd in Fedex Cup Standings| +2200

Fitzpatrick finished T12 last week at the St.Jude Championship. Fitzpatrick is tied for the most wins on TOUR this year with Chris Gotterup at 3 wins.  Fitzpatrick has made 18 of 19 cuts this season. Last week was his first tournament playing since the Open Championship. Fitzpatrick has three wins, two runner-up finishes, one third place finish, seven top five finishes, and eight top ten finishes. Fitzpatrick needs his driver and putter this week to threaten for a win. He ranks 49th driving and he ranks 72nd in putting.

Ryan Smith- 10 points (1-1-0)

I picked Scottie correctly to get the win amongst our experts last week. 

My pick to win is Matt Fitzpatrick.

I think he is due for a win and I think he has the perfect game to fit this course. You need strong iron play on this course and he is one of the best Iron Players on TOUR. His value being +2200 is great value.

Jonathan Hutson- 5 points (0-2-0)

My pick to win this week is Si Woo Kim. He is long overdue for a win. He has three runner-up finishes, two third place finishes, six top five finishes, and eleven top ten finishes. Si Woo has had one of the best seasons this year on TOUR for a guy who has yet to win this season. If it was not for a few poor defences on Sunday we may be talking about him in the Fitzpatrick, Gotterup and Scheffler conversations as a multiple event winner this year.

Adrian Rosati- 5 points (1-0-1)

My pick to win this week is Tommy Fleetwood. Tommy has been rolling in the lead up to this week. He’s coming off of 7 straight top 25’s including last week T7. His only win on North American soil was at last years Tour Championship so he knows how to perform well at the playoff events. He’s been win hunting and he’s shown previous success in the playoffs. Why not this week for PGA win number 2!
